Typesy courses are only available in English, although the keyboarding curriculum supports mutliple keyboard layouts that are typically used by non-English speakers. Overall, Typing Agent wins in this feature category. A common user complaint is that teachers can only change goals and settings by class rather than for individual students. However, teachers have fewer customization options, including limited ability to customize the tests. Like Typing Agent, Typesy allows students to learn typing in an individualized way. Teachers can “plug and play” and have the program adapt to each student’s individual proficiencies, or they can create their own curriculum with the hands-on customization options. Typing Agent has a highly customizable curriculum. The curriculum is designed for grades 2-12. Typesy has a web-based platform, but also is available as a Chromebook, iPad, or Mac/Windows desktop app. Students, teachers, and administrators can log in from anywhere they have internet access. Typing Agent is a web-based K-12 keyboarding curriculum. Since both options have many helpful features for kids, teachers, and administrators alike, it can be hard to decide which one is right for your students.īelow, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each keyboarding curriculum so you can make an informed decision for your students’ tech education program. Typing Agent and Typesy are both popular typing programs for schools and districts. My only problem with the song is the slowing down/speeding up of the beat can get annoying, but Doom’s clever lyrics save the track. He isn’t exactly rapping 100 words a minute like Twista but his slower raps get the job done. Tick, Tick’s beat features a fairly sinister wouldn’t be out of place in an late 20’s movie string sample and a drum part that changes tempo every once in a while. One good part about similarities between some tracks is the other tracks sound so refreshing Tick, Tick is a great example of this. The first few songs that fit this mold, Doomsday, Go With the Flow, etc are refreshing and awesome but the formula gets a little annoying when you are listening to the entire record. A good portion of the album the beats in these songs always consists of bass, a Fender Rhoades style organ riff and a fairly standard drum beat. One of my biggest problems with Operation Doomsday is the similarities between some tracks. If you can overlook that (or like it) then this is a great song. The vocal production sounds like Doom is a DJ on a radio, this seems cool at first but soon begins to get quite annoying. Joker rhymes, like the "Is you just happy to see me?" trick/Classical slap-stick rappers need Chap stick/A lot of 'em sound like they in a talent show/So I give 'em something to remember, like the Alamo. Rhymes like Dimes features some great lyrics. A soft psychedelic organ sample is looped throughout the song over a fairly standard drum beat. Second track Rhymes Like Dimes is a perfect example of this. His voice soothes the soul while it blasts rhymes at about 100 words a minute. That is one of the main goals of this review.ĭoom’s voice is one of the best parts about his sound. Unfortunately a large of fraction of the world has not been properly introduced to Doom. Operation introduced a fraction of the world to MF Doom’s clever lyricism and classic sounding beats. Needless to say I went out and picked up his debut, Operation Doomsday and you are now reading what I think of it. Well, I listened to a couple tracks and was instantly in love with Doom’s mellow, fast raps and relaxing beats and samples. You see, he wears a Doctor Doom mask, fellow comic book subscribers (or people who went to the movie to see Jessica Alba in a skintight super hero outfit) will know that Doctor Doom is the main villain in the Fantastic Four series. It was MF Doom’s face or rather lack of a face. Rhapsody claimed his sound included elements of Ghostface and RJD2, two of my favorites in the Hip Hop genre, but that wasn’t what appealed to me most. Well one day I was browsing for some new emcees to check out and I came across a man named MF Doom. I started out with more electronic stuff like DJ Shadow and RJD2 and then moved into stuff like the Roots and Common. With Music it started out as Pop-Punk then Indie and finally I grew quite a liking for a genre I never would have thought of myself to like in my days as an Indie Fanatic: Hip-Hop. Well, I eventually moved on from Comic Books and Skateboarding into music. There was Spiderman, X-Men and an early favorite the Fantastic Four. I started out with the Power Ranger phases then moved on to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after a few years I moved to the next logical step: Comic Books. One bonus with PDF Download, that perhaps separates it from others, is that it's not just limited to Adobe Reader. The PDF Download plugin usually presents you with 3 options unless you've instructed it to do the same thing by default all the time - convert the PDF to HTML, download the PDF or open the PDF in the browser. With PDF Download, you can see instantly whether its a big file, in which case, it's advisable to download it for reading later as opening a big PDF file is like waiting for Christmas to arrive sometimes. PDF Download stops the annoying problem of PDF files taking ages to open - especially big ones. Instead of opening PDF files "blind" which is currently the case, PDF Download lets you know exactly how big it is with options of whether to convert it, open it, download it or convert to HTML. PDF Download prevents this problem ever arising by allowing you to control exactly how and when PDF files are opened or downloaded. There is nothing that annoys me more in Firefox when a PDF document tries to open and crashes the browser. And I must say the results were gorgeous!ĭespite lacking some advanced features, its ease of use and support for a wide array of image formats make of Posterazor a great tool for printing large posters. I personally recommend Foxit Reader but any other will do the trick. The final poster is created in PDF format, so you'll need a PDF reader in order to open the file and print it. Though this is probably the easiest way to go for novice users, I missed having a somewhat more advanced interface with other extra options such as frames and borders, some guiding lines to cut out the image or the possibility to add a text layer or even apply a watermark, like in Posteriza (why do they all have similar names?). Posterazor works as a wizard, guiding you through five simple steps in order to create your poster. The good thing is that Posterazor supports a really wide variety of image formats. Just bear in mind that you should use high definition photos, because otherwise you'll get a nice pixelated design instead of a huge attractive poster to pin up on your bedroom's walls. This open-source tool splits up any image into several sheets of paper, enabling you to print them out and then build a poster as large as you want it to be. Not everybody has a plotter at home, so if you want to print large-sized posters in your humble A4 printer, your best option is Posterazor. BioShock Infinite can be played as a singular experience. Under "select zone", select the "master" zone and save the view.Under "select zone," select the "slave" zone then save the view.Create a new view called "internal" (name is arbitrary).Go down to the "Views" tab in synology's DNS server software. The IP address is the internal address of your synology device. Set up a master zone record for on synology using the interface under "Zone" in synology's DNS server software.Set up slave zone record for on synology and fetch records from master zone record. On the nameserver, create a zone record for if it doesn't already exist. You should consult with the official, built-in "DSM Help" documetnation (under "Packages -> "DNS Server" -> "Views") or your friendly DNS expert to see if this solution can be improved upon: Though the solution works for me, I may be overcomplicating things. I should also note that the solution below is specific to my situation where I have name server being hosted servers outside of my local network.įinally, a word of caution: I am not familiar with DNS or Synology's solution that it calls "Views" to say if the instructions below are optimal. More specifically, I have model DS1511+ running DSM version 6.2.1-23824, Update 6 with the "DNS Server" package installed. The solution I implemented, outlined below, is specific to the Synology NAS device I have set up on my home network. But if you are interested as to what split DNS is and why it's needed in this case, check out this excellent explanation. I'm not enough of an expert on DNS to do that. I won't go into all the gory details here. Not being familiar with this problem, I googled around and determined I had to set up what's called a split DNS configuration. In my case, after getting my website,, set up on my local network, I noticed that though I could reach my websites from outside my network, computers on my local network at home could could not pull up my website. Hosting your own websites from your own home network, as I do, is one scenario where it's probably a good idea to run your own name servers and manage your own zone records for you domain. To do that, you just have to provide the registrar with the names of the custom name servers that you wish to use. But if you need more control over how DNS requests are handled for your domain, you'll need to set up and run your own name servers so you can handle the requests yourself. Usually, registrars will give you free use of their name servers and provide a simple web-based interface for updating your own zone records. So if one of the name servers goes down temporarily, a least one other name server will be around to handle incoming requests. Two name servers are usually required to provide redundancy. Once your computer knows where to find the zone records for a domain, it will then query that computer for the IP address of the human-readable address it's looking for. It's the job of these name servers to tell other computers where to find your zone records. So when you type in an address to your browser, how does your computer know where to find these zone records? That’s the job of what are called “name servers.” If you've ever purchased a domain, you know that the registrar requires you to associate two more name servers with your new domain name. Of course, you also need to pay someone to use an IP addresses provisioned to you and be sure that the computers attached to these IP addresses respond properly when the IP address is "dialed" by another computer, but that's a topic for another day. For a few bucks a year, you can purchase your own domain and manage your own zone records which let the rest of the world know the IP addresses of the computers associated with your domain. Rather than one organization maintaining and updating a centralized database of all IP addresses and their associates names, it is the responsibility of the owners of each domain to create and update a "zone record" for the domains they have ownership of. Typing in long and not very memorable IP addresses is much more of a hassle than typing in an address made up of common letters and words. This makes the internet much more convenient to use. For example, the "" address meant for humans resolves to the IP address of "172.217.6.206," the number that computers use to "dial" google's website up. It's primary job is to "resolve," or look up, the IP address for a given human-readable internet address. Here's a very quick primer on the Domain Name System (DNS), a giant database distributed over millions of computers across the globe. Setting up a "split DNS" configuration on a Synology NAS for hosting websites Later in the video, he urged his viewers to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and take necessary precautions since he was now immunocompromised and at higher risk. The cancer was detected early by doctors, and Techno focused on getting chemotherapy treatments. On August 27, 2021, Technoblade uploaded a video titled " where I’ve been', in which he revealed that he had been diagnosed with sarcoma in early August after feeling pain and swelling in his right arm. He was 6'2.5" (189 centimeters) tall, but rounded it to 6'3". However, his face has been visible in his 100,000 subscriber special video, in the "Cooking with Technoblade" videos, and at the end of his "playing minecraft hardcore with a steering wheel" stream. Techno never did an official "face reveal". His ADHD was also confirmed on a Hypixel Forum post from September 27, 2014. Techno made multiple references in his commentary videos and tweets about having ADHD ( Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). In Dream's Stream, Remembering Technoblade, Techno's Dad talked about his family, and it's been made clear that Techno was the oldest among his siblings, which would prove that Chris is his younger brother, and also that Techno's oldest sister is around two years younger than him. It was also revealed that his father owns a film studio. Up until the end of his life, Technoblade lived with his father, as revealed in a stream when he forgot to mute his microphone. He said in one of his Q&A videos from 2016 his parents were divorced. In middle 2018, after his gap year, Technoblade moved to Chicago, Illinois and into college as an English major for over a year before moving back to San Francisco after dropping out. He resided in California for most of the beginning of his YouTube career, attending and graduating high school in the state. Technoblade took fencing in middle school. Technoblade had made a reference to a younger brother, although it is unclear if he was talking about Chris or if he had another brother. He had three younger sisters and a brother named Chris. Technoblade was born on June 1, 1999, and lived in San Francisco, California. Technoblade made an entire series of Hypixel Skyblock and was well-known for being "the fastest man in skyblock," as well as for his three-part Potato War saga in which he fought user Im_a_squid_kid for the #1 potato rank. Technoblade also played Hypixel's version of Skyblock, often featuring his friends and co-op members, such as Jiyn, TimeDeo and xHascox. During the Potato War, Technoblade made multiple alternative Minecraft accounts such as Asiyn, Whitelisted, Whitelisted 2, PommesDeTerre, NoHaxCanJustFly, Ender_Gamer09 and BizarreZzz. Technoblade also began streaming different games aside from Minecraft, such as the popular Minecraft spin-off "Minecraft Story Mode", and "Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord", which consists of 5 streams as of June 15. In late November 2019, he joined a Minecraft server named SMP Earth, a Factions server where an assortment of YouTubers plays survival on a 3000:1 recreation of the Earth. He collaborated numerous times with other famous YouTubers, which many had been through Minecraft Monday, some of whom were teammates during the said event. He earned the rank on Hypixel for winning the Minecraft Monday tournament four times, more than any other YouTuber. Technoblade was well-known throughout the Minecraft community for his skill in PVP (player-versus-player) combat. He had also made older videos of him doing things like cooking and green screen content showing his YouTube awards. His 500th episode special, titled "Ultimate Hunger Games," was his most-viewed video before he gained more popularity. In the past, Technoblade mostly uploaded Blitz Survival Games. He had been nicknamed "The Blade" by TommyInnit He was part of Sleepyboisinc along with Wilbur Soot, Ph1LzA and TommyInnit. He also streamed Minecraft content live on YouTube, playing on the popular Minecraft server Hypixel, Minecraft Mondays, MC Championship, SMP Earth, Minecraft Story Mode, Party Games and the Dream SMP. The time range between his video uploads was usually a week to a month, though he had tried (and failed) to do daily episodes. Technoblade made the majority of his videos on the Minecraft server Hypixel. I could keep going name by name, but then there were very unique sounds in the mix as well - Jake (Uada) gave me some fantastic texture that is blended together with Ravn (1349), which is more of a howl, that you can hear a little more distinctly at the end of the track. We got people from all over, and not all “metal people.” The Choir sees the return of Jason Avery (Eulogy, Monstrosity) to the microphone, backing up Adam with Andrew Gerrity (Wolvhammer, No Fraud) on the line “a lifeless corpse of a world.” And - this is the fan part of this - I had Blaine Accüsed (The Accüsed, Toe Tag) and Nick Oliveri (Mondo Generator, QOTSA) sing the line, “what music we shall make.” I am such a fan of everyone that sang with us, each submission, be it well-known musician or just friends. Curse's sound is a future forward homage to the experimental side of industrial music, with doom fueled drones, sinister synth pulsations and dirty-minded beats layered upon hypnotic noise manipulations, scream of conscious lyrical prose and near trance inducing improvisations that evoke the ghosts of Throbbing Gristle, early Skinny Puppy, Lustmord, Coil, and the iconic projects Mackey has been a part of. In 2016, Curse launched a solo electronic-industrial project that includes new material and revamps of classic Pigface and Evil Mothers songs (including Spider Sex and Car Wrecks).
